K9ABCs would like to wish a very happy 1st Birthday to Bosley's in Cloverdale. Tarah and her crew have a beautiful store with awesome products for you and your pets needs. Quincy and I wish them all continued success for many years to come.
Some Dogs are Sun Gods. Like some Whippets we know :) Even Quincy gets some sunscreen on her pink nose sometimes.
Low and behold, there's sunscreen out there for dogs. Have any of you tried it? Did you like it? Did your dog like it?
The link is below.
Traveling on the road with your dog on a hot day? Need to pee? Worried about leaving your dog in a hot vehicle or of someone stealing your dog if tied outside? Stop at a pet store to use their bathroom. Other accommodating places I've discovered include BCAA (some at least), Wholesale Sports on the Langley Bypass (there used to be one in Burlington WA but sadly it disappeared). If you know other locations please share, it's not always so easy for us bipeds when traveling with our quadpeds.
Camping with your dog can be a lot of fun but it does take a lot of planning. For example, the shopping trip for food and such happens a day or two before you go (without the dog). Researching your campsite, are dogs aloud on the beach and trails? Leashed or off leash. Where is your dog going to sleep? Are they safe from racoons or bears in their sleeping area, will they bark all night or rest at all. Quincy sleeps in the tent with me and is pretty calm.
Now, we all know that you're going to have to go into a store for something you forgot or ice even. I solve this with a remote car starter and AC. I run the AC on the way to the store, park, restart the truck and it's set to give me ten minutes running time. It's like a pop cycle in there when I get back.
Any other tricks out there you'd like to share?
8 year old Nova Scotia Duck Toller (mx??) rescued by the SPCA and adopted by my human, Laurie. Now I'm the pretty face on this webpage that's meant to help you humans better keep us canines safe. (like we need help with that, whatever).
